Rachael Anderson: Clinging to Hope, Fighting for Change, and Raising a Child with Special Needs

I am so honored to share with you today my conversation with Rachael Anderson on raising and advocating for a child with special needs, as well as how we collectively can come alongside those with special needs to fight for more equal rights and a more inclusive environment. The truth and hope that Rachael offers to both parents who have kids with special needs and those without is sure to be encouraging and inspiring to you!

In today’s episode, Rachael and I chat about:

- her pregnancy and motherhood journey since her son’s Down syndrome diagnosis

- what she’d most like moms of children with special needs to hear, and what she’d most like moms of children without special needs to know

- the backstory behind Caleb’s Law and other work she has done as an advocate for the special needs community

- how we all can come alongside those with special needs by advocating for more equal rights and creating a more inclusive environment

- encouragement for the mom who is fearful of her child receiving a special needs diagnosis
